The Baguio-Benguet Librarian’s Association (BBLAI) in cooperation with the University of the Cordilleras Library is pleased to invite you to a seminar-workshop entitled ”Raising the Quality of Library Service Through Open Access, and Open Source System (OSS)” to be held at the University of the Cordilleras Library, Baguio City on July 19-20, 2010.

The objectives of this seminar are: (1) familiarize the librarians with Open Access, and Open Source Software and the benefits of its adoption in libraries; (2) to provide an opportunity for librarians to actually administer and manage an open source software; and (3) to enhance and heighten the librarians knowledge and understanding of the Open Source Software as answers to the current needs of libraries.

A seminar fee in the amount of TWO THOUSAND PESOS (Php2,000.00) chargeable against your local funds covers meals and snacks for two days, kits, handouts, and certificate, plus an actual computer hands on.

Attached are program of activities and CHED Memo endorsing the seminar. CPE units will be provided approved by the PRC.
